Golf and thalassotherapy in Tunisia: the courses and the hotels in our selection
Tunisia has golf courses all along its coast, from Tabarka to Djerba, and one in Tozeur; green fees found range from about €24 to €112 for 18 holes. Eight hotels chosen by Sabaro have a thalassotherapy centre, three of them with a course on site or less than 10 minutes away. The golf season runs from autumn to spring.

Tunisia lends itself to a holiday combining golf and thalassotherapy, treatments based on seawater. The courses follow the coast, from Tabarka to Djerba by way of Gammarth, Hammamet, Port El Kantaoui and Monastir, and there is an 18-hole course in Tozeur, in the south. Green fees, the charge for playing a round, found in October 2026 range from about €24 to €112 for 18 holes. Eight hotels in Sabaro's selection have a thalassotherapy centre; in Gammarth and Tabarka, the golf course is part of the hotel itself.

Prices in dinars are converted at the Central Bank of Tunisia rate of 19 October 2026, €1 to TND 3.36. Only Djerba Golf Club publishes its rates on its own website, updated on 2 September 2026; the other prices come from golf booking sites and may be several seasons old. The dinar cannot be bought before you travel: you get it on arrival, and keeping your exchange receipts lets you change back what is left when you leave.
Gammarth, north of Tunis
The course at The Residence Tunis is an 18-hole layout by American architect Robert Trent Jones II, set between the sea and a salt lake, with a golf academy and clubhouse. Gammarth is about twenty minutes from Tunis-Carthage airport. Maison Dedine in Sidi Bou Said says 18-hole courses are less than 15 minutes away. See Carthage, Sidi Bou Said and Gammarth.
Hammamet
Citrus Golf has 45 holes. An 18-hole green fee on La Forêt or Les Oliviers was about €112 from November 2025 to May 2026 and in September and October 2026, with a maximum handicap, the index of a player's ability, of 36; from June to August, 9 holes cost €35. The Citrus and Yasmine courses are 8 km, about 15 minutes, from the Hasdrubal Thalassa & Spa Yasmine Hammamet. See Hammamet and Cap Bon.
The Sahel: Port El Kantaoui and Monastir
El Kantaoui has 36 holes on two 18-hole courses, Sea and Panorama, open all year; 18 holes cost TND 156, the same on weekdays and at weekends, and 9 holes TND 92. It is 6 km from the Mövenpick Sousse and close to the Iberostar Selection Diar El Andalous. In Monastir, Flamingo and Palm Links offer two courses, one by the sea and one on a hillside; Palm Links welcomes visiting players Monday to Friday, by booking, for TND 80. See Sousse and Monastir.
Tabarka
La Cigale Tabarka Golf, opened in 1992 and since renovated, is a par 72, meaning a good player should complete it in 72 strokes, 6,306 m long, designed by architect Ronald Fream between the forest and the sea, with a driving range. It belongs to the La Cigale Tabarka hotel. The course is reserved for tournaments on 24 and 25 October 2026 and on several dates in April and May 2027. Djerba
Djerba Golf Club has 27 holes in three loops of 9, a few minutes from the Radisson Blu Palace and a 10-minute drive from the Hasdrubal Prestige Thalassa & Spa. 18 holes cost €81.50. See Djerba.
Tozeur
Golf des Oasis, an 18-hole course in Tozeur, lists a green fee of TND 88. It is the only course in the Saharan south; the Tozeur and Nefta page gives your country's advice in its Safety table.
Thalassotherapy: eight hotels in our selection
Thalassotherapy uses heated seawater, in pools, jets or baths, combined with massages and treatments. Hotels do not publish prices for individual treatments: cures are sold as packages linked to your stay.

Price per night for two, breakfast included, found in October 2026 for nights in March 2027, taxes included. The tourist tax comes on top, paid at the hotel: TND 12, about €3.60, per person per night in 4- and 5-star hotels.
A few details:
- Hasdrubal Prestige on Djerba has the largest centre in our selection, 11,000 m², with seawater pools for leisure, rehabilitation and a circuit for venous circulation, two jacuzzis, two hammams and an outdoor pool of iron-rich thermal water. All 219 of its rooms are suites.
- The Residence Tunis opens its spa from 9 am to 7 pm and its hammam from 11 am to 7 pm, local time; its beach is open only from mid-May to mid-October, and its indoor seawater pool is heated to 30 °C all year.
- Iberostar Royal El Mansour opens its thalasso centre from 9 am to 12:30 pm and from 2 pm to 6:30 pm, local time, facing Mahdia beach.
- Hasdrubal Thalassa Yasmine Hammamet is an all-suite hotel, with junior suites of 73 m² and a 10,500 m² private beach.
Two other ways to take the waters
The Korbous hot springs, on the west coast of Cap Bon, flow at 40 to 60 °C; at Aïn El Atrous the water runs into the sea and you bathe in rock pools. The Romans already knew them. In the south, Dar HI Life in Nefta has a traditional hammam and a sulphur-rich geothermal hot-water bath.

Average daily highs, World Meteorological Organization normals for 1991-2020. From autumn to spring, afternoons on the coast stay between 16 and 28 °C, comfortable for a round; in July and August it is best to tee off early. Thalassotherapy works all year round.
