Hasdrubal Thalassa & Spa Yasmine Hammamet is the hotel in our selection for a thalassotherapy break by the sea: a 5,500 m² seawater treatment centre, spacious suites and a private sandy beach in the heart of the Yasmine Hammamet resort. Thalassotherapy means treatments based on seawater. The hotel belongs to the Tunisian group Hasdrubal Thalassa & Spa Hotels, which has four hotels.

Thalasso, the hotel's reason for being

The thalasso and spa centre covers 5,500 m²:

  • 16 massage rooms and 9 beauty rooms;
  • an indoor and an outdoor seawater pool;
  • hammams and saunas;
  • a private spa.

A fitness room and an aerobics studio complete the facilities. The hotel also offers long-stay packages. See our golf and thalasso guide and our spa and wellness page.

Three pools and a private beach

Besides the treatment centre's pools, the hotel has a large 800 m² outdoor pool surrounded by six jacuzzis, a heated indoor seawater pool and a third outdoor seawater pool. The private sandy beach covers 10,500 m², with 70 loungers and 30 parasols. The sea is warmest from June to October, at 22.5-27 °C on average; from January to April it stays around 15-16 °C, and the heated indoor pool takes over.

Suites only

The hotel offers suites only.

For a couple, a junior suite is plenty, with its sitting area, dressing room and balcony; choose the version with direct pool access or the one with a sea view. It takes no extra bed, so a family with children books one of the two-bedroom suites: the Suite Ambassadeur, or the Suite Prestige, which adds a second bathroom and a separate living room.

Seven restaurants and bars

The hotel has five restaurants, La Topaze, Le Gourmet, Il Delfino, L'Olivier and Le Venus, a lobby bar, Le Rendez-vous, and two lunchtime barbecues, La Brise and La Cascade, open in summer only.

In the heart of Yasmine Hammamet

The hotel is in the centre of the Yasmine Hammamet resort, south of Hammamet, a 20- to 30-minute walk from the Médina de Yasmine and the Carthage Land amusement park, where admission is about TND 15 per adult and TND 10 per child, roughly €4.50 and €3. The Citrus and Yasmine golf courses are 11 km away, a quarter of an hour by road: see our golf page. The Hammamet medina and kasbah make a half-day visit, and in summer the Hammamet International Festival stages its shows at Dar Sebastian. For the region, see our Hammamet and Cap Bon page.

Three airports serve the hotel:

  • Enfidha-Hammamet, the closest, 35 km away;
  • Tunis-Carthage, 70 km away, about an hour by road;
  • Monastir, 90 km away, about 1 h 15.

Prices

In October 2026, for two nights in March 2027, the cheapest suite was offered at about €120 a night for two adults, breakfast included, non-refundable, all taxes included. Thalasso treatments are extra. Tourist tax is extra and paid at the hotel: TND 12 per person per night, about €3.60, for up to ten nights, or TND 24 a night for a couple, about €7.
