One&Only The Palm is the Palm Jumeirah address for travellers who want peace and quiet. The hotel calls itself a boutique beach resort: low-rise Andalusian-style buildings, gardens and a private stretch of sand. It belongs to the Kerzner hotel group, like its Atlantis neighbours, but has no waterpark on site. What it offers instead is a Michelin-starred restaurant, the only Guerlain spa in the United Arab Emirates and three pools.
How it stands apart on the Palm
Palm Jumeirah, Dubai's palm-shaped artificial island, is mostly lined with very large hotels (see our Palm Jumeirah page). One&Only The Palm takes the opposite approach:
- low-rise architecture: a main building, the Manor House, and a series of Andalusian-style "mansions" along the beach;
- a view of the city: the resort looks across the water to the towers of Dubai Marina and JBR (Jumeirah Beach Residence, the seafront tower district);
- personal service: every room comes with a dedicated host who helps plan the stay.
Forbes Travel Guide, the American guide that rates hotels after inspection, gives it four stars.
Which room to book
Every room includes breakfast at Zest, Kids' Club access and daily access to the group's waterpark, with transfers on request.
Our tip: the Beachfront categories, in the mansions, are worth the extra if the beach is your priority, since they open directly onto it; Manor House rooms sit at the centre of the resort. The Beachfront Premier Room sleeps up to four, with a maximum of three adults, and can connect to a second room. For a honeymoon, the Beachfront Junior Suite with Pool has its own private pool; for a family or friends, up to eight, the three-bedroom villa has its own garden, an oversized gazebo, a kitchenette and a private chef on request.
Dining with Yannick Alléno
There are three restaurants, two of them by French chef Yannick Alléno:
- STAY by Yannick Alléno: the resort's French fine-dining room, with a Michelin star. At weekends the spa offers a package pairing a Guerlain massage with lunch at STAY;
- Casea 101 by Yannick Alléno: Mediterranean cooking by the water, for a long lunch or a sunset aperitif;
- Zest: the all-day restaurant, serving breakfast, Italian dishes and Neapolitan-style pizza on the pool terrace.
For more of the city's best tables, see our food and dining page. Alcohol is served to guests aged 21 and over (see Dubai's alcohol rules).
Pools, beach and cabanas
The resort has three pools. Safina is reserved for adults and looks out over the Dubai skyline; the Grand Pool is the main pool, with beach access. Poolside cabanas, with a TV and an indoor-outdoor shower, can be booked by the day.
The resort also sells pool and beach day passes to non-residents, from AED 300 to AED 600 (UAE dirhams) per person depending on the pool and the day, with weekends the most expensive and half the price redeemable on food and drink. To compare the city's beaches, see our Dubai beaches guide.
Guerlain Spa
This is the only Guerlain spa in the Emirates. It blends the French house's treatments with regional rituals, including the Désert d'Orient hammam (a traditional steam bath followed by a scrub). The Oriental Suite, for two, has a freestanding bath, a steam room and a couples' hammam. There is also a hair salon, a gym and a hand and foot studio by podiatrist Bastien Gonzalez. From Monday to Thursday, 10 am to 1 pm local time, treatments are 15% cheaper.
The spa asks guests to arrive 15 minutes before their appointment; late arrivals mean a shorter treatment. For more wellness stays, see our spa and wellness page.
With children
Children are welcome: a complimentary Kids' Club, daily waterpark access with transfers, connecting rooms and a three-bedroom villa. Families who want slides from morning to night will be better off at Atlantis, The Palm, where the park is a short walk away; those who want calm with the odd waterpark outing will find the right balance here.
Excursions arranged by the hotel
The hotel runs sea trips (cruises, fishing, diving), Arabian horse rides in the desert, an Old Dubai tour in a classic car, and a desert safari with falconry, by vintage Land Rover or camel, led by conservation specialists. To plan those days, see our desert and Old Dubai pages.
Prices
In October 2026, for a stay in March 2027, the cheapest room was offered at around €1,300 a night for two adults, including taxes and fees, with a possible per-night tourism fee on top.
Sabaro's view
Who it's for: couples, honeymooners (see honeymoon) and travellers who care about food and prefer hotels on a human scale.
Strengths: a scale that is rare on the Palm; STAY by Yannick Alléno; the Guerlain spa; the Marina view; a 9.3 out of 10 rating on Booking.com (456 reviews).
Good to know: entry-level rooms are expensive; the pools welcome day visitors; for a holiday built around children, one of the Atlantis hotels is a better fit.
