The idea: 30 minutes, 30 days
The Dubai Fitness Challenge, a Dubai government initiative, invites residents and visitors to do 30 minutes of physical activity a day for 30 days, the "30x30". The 10th edition runs from 31 October to 29 November 2026. Everything is free, with registration on the official website, dubaifitnesschallenge.com.
For a traveller, the appeal comes down to a few dates: two mornings when you run or ride down the middle of Sheikh Zayed Road, the great skyscraper avenue, closed to cars, plus fitness villages open all month.

All month long, free villages offer group classes and activities: at Kite Beach in Umm Suqeim, in Zabeel Park and in Al Warqa'a Park, with smaller hubs at Wasl Village and Dubai Industrial City. Kite Beach, facing Burj Al Arab, is the most pleasant for a visitor; it is described on our Jumeirah page.
