The Race to Dubai finale

Every November, Dubai closes the season of the DP World Tour, the European professional golf tour. The DP World Tour Championship brings together the top 50 in the season standings, the Race to Dubai, and decides who wins it. Created in 2009, the tournament has recently crowned Jon Rahm in 2022, Nicolai Højgaard in 2023, Rory McIlroy in 2024 and Matt Fitzpatrick in 2025, who beat McIlroy in a play-off.

The 2026 edition runs from Thursday 12 to Sunday 15 November, the 2027 edition from 11 to 14 November.

The Earth Course

The tournament is played on the Earth Course at Jumeirah Golf Estates, designed by Australian Greg Norman: a par 72 of 7,675 yards, about 7,000 m. Jumeirah Golf Estates is an inland residential and golf estate reached from Sheikh Mohammed Bin Zayed Road.

Where to stay

The Sabaro selection has no hotel on the estate itself. Dubai Marina and its beaches are the nearest base: The Ritz-Carlton, Dubai, Address Beach Resort or Banyan Tree Dubai, described on our Dubai Marina page. A taxi is the simplest option from these hotels.

In mid-November the average high is about 31 °C and the sea 28 °C: a week of golf and beach. Our golf in Dubai in November trip is built around the tournament, and the golf theme describes the city's courses. The same month, the Dubai Fitness Challenge livens up the city and the Emirates Dubai 7s is played at the end of the month.
