Banyan Tree Dubai is the Marina-side resort to choose for a restful spa stay: set on Bluewaters Island, opposite JBR, it has a 500 m private beach facing the Gulf and a spa where every treatment suite has its own jacuzzi. Rooms combine natural materials with contemporary Asian touches, and all have a balcony. With a 9.5 out of 10 rating on Booking.com (1,112 reviews), it is the highest-rated hotel in our Dubai Marina selection.

An island facing JBR

Bluewaters is the island of the Ain Dubai observation wheel, which you can see from the hotel beach, directly across from JBR. A closure of the wheel was reported in March 2026, so check that it is running before planning a ride. The hotel makes the most of its position: it is quiet, yet close to the JBR promenade and the Marina's restaurants (see our Dubai Marina, JBR and Bluewaters page).

An airport shuttle is available. Golfers will find Emirates Golf Club, a DP World Tour venue, 13 minutes away (see our golf page).

The spa

Treatments take place in private suites, each with its own jacuzzi. Suite guests receive one complimentary Rainforest Experience session per stay. There is also a gym, yoga classes and water sports. For more wellness stays, see our spa and wellness page.

Bliss or Serenity: the view makes the difference

Rooms and suites range from 54 to 278 m².

  • Bliss Guestroom (54 m²): view of the island boulevard, balcony, marble bathroom with a large oval tub. The cheapest room, for those who put price first.
  • Serenity Oceanview Guestroom (54 m²): same size, sea view, large balcony, high ceilings and floor-to-ceiling windows. This is the room we recommend.
  • Harmony Oceanfront Master Suite (110 m²): large sea-facing balcony, oval tub, complimentary Rainforest Experience.
  • Family Suite (164 m²): beachfront, separate living room, large terrace and balcony, two bathtubs, up to five guests.
  • The Banyan Tree Villa (4,465 m²): up to ten bedrooms, its own beach, heated infinity pool, cinema room, private gym and butler; chefs and a 24-hour nanny on request.

Seven restaurants, from France to Japan

  • Alizée: French cuisine, from breakfast (7 to 10.45 am) to dinner (noon to 11 pm);
  • Demon Duck: Chinese and pan-Asian classics reworked by chef Alvin Leung, 6 pm to midnight; children under 6 welcome until 9 pm;
  • TakaHisa: high-end Japanese, with omakase (chef's choice) menus, sushi and A5 Kobe beef;
  • Tocha: a contemporary Japanese tea house, with afternoon tea from 2 to 5 pm;
  • Casa Playa: Latin-inspired beachfront dining, dinner from 6 to 10 pm;
  • Blue Door: Mediterranean cooking from the Anatolian coast, Saturdays and Sundays;
  • Banyan Tree Pool & Beach: drinks and food in the sun.

Times are local. For more ideas, see food and dining.

With children

Club Tropicool is for children aged 3 to 12. The Family Suite and the villa suit families; for a holiday built around children, The Ritz-Carlton, Dubai, on the beach opposite, has six pools, including one for children, and the Ritz Kids club.

Sustainability

The hotel has held Green Key certification (an international environmental label) for three consecutive years and has received the Dubai Sustainability Silver Stamp from the DET (Department of Economy and Tourism, Dubai's tourism authority). Forbes Travel Guide, the American guide that rates hotels after inspection, gives it four stars.

Prices

In October 2026, for a stay in March 2027, the cheapest room was offered at around €1,060 a night for two adults, with free cancellation up to the day of arrival, including taxes and fees, with a possible per-night tourism fee on top.

Sabaro's view

Who it's for: couples, honeymooners (see honeymoon), spa breaks, and travellers who want the Marina without the bustle.

Strengths: the 500 m beach; spa suites with jacuzzis; Demon Duck and TakaHisa; the best rating in our Marina selection.

Good to know: prices close to those of the big names on the Palm; the Bliss room faces the boulevard rather than the sea; Blue Door only opens at weekends.
