Four Seasons Hotel Tunis is the grand beach hotel of the Tunis coast: 203 rooms and suites facing the Mediterranean at Gammarth, a 500 m beach and an eleven-room spa, about twenty minutes from Tunis-Carthage airport. It is the only Tunisian hotel rated by Forbes Travel Guide (the American guide that inspects and rates luxury hotels), with four stars. Opened in December 2017, it combines a beach holiday with visits to Carthage, Sidi Bou Said and the Tunis medina from a single base.

Rooms of 60 m² and up

The hotel has 168 rooms and 35 suites, and space is its strong point: the entry-level Superior Room already measures 60-70 m², with a private balcony, a marble bathroom with underfloor heating and a partial sea view. Rooms are spread from the 1st to the 6th floor; the rooms table sets out the main categories.

For a couple, the best choice is the Deluxe Sea-View Room: the same size, with the sea right in front of the balcony. A family of four takes the Sea-View Suite, which separates bedroom and living room. For a special occasion, the Mediterranean Suite on the 1st floor has a terrace with a private pool spanning the full width of the view.

The range also includes garden-view rooms, a Premier Room of 72-85 m², an Executive Suite and a 550 m² Presidential Suite.

Beach and pools through the seasons

The beach runs for 500 m in front of the hotel. The water is warmest from June to October: its average temperature rises from 22.5 °C in June to 27 °C in August, then falls back to 23 °C in October. In spring it stays cool, around 16 °C in April.

There are two pools: an outdoor pool and a Roman-style indoor pool, welcome from November to April when daytime highs in Tunis are 16-22 °C. A children's pool completes the kids' club.

Five restaurants and lounges

The hotel has three restaurants and two lounge bars:

  • The Creek, Bistro Chic & Lounge, with its The Creek Lounge;
  • BLU Seafood Kitchen & Bar, devoted to fish and seafood;
  • Azur;
  • Salon Alyssa.

Cooking classes are offered on site.

Spa, sport and riding

The spa has eleven treatment rooms, including a couples' suite, and a hammam. The 320 m² fitness centre has two saunas and a Pilates studio. There are two tennis courts, and horse riding can be arranged. For more addresses, see spa and wellness.

With children

It is one of the two hotels in our selection on the Tunis coast with a kids' club, and the only one that also has a teens' club. Kids for All Seasons welcomes children, the teens' club caters for older ones, and babysitting can be booked on request. Rooms sleep two adults and a child; suites, two adults and two children. See also our family page.

Location

The hotel stands on the seafront in the Cap Gammarth tourist zone, in the municipality of La Marsa, about twenty minutes from Tunis-Carthage airport according to the hotel. The Roman ruins of Carthage, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, and the white-and-blue village of Sidi Bou Said are a few minutes away by car, and the lively centre of La Marsa, the end of the TGM suburban line, is close by. For sightseeing, see our Carthage and Sidi Bou Said page. In summer, the Carthage International Festival stages its concerts in the Roman theatre.

Prices

In October 2026, for two nights in March 2027, the cheapest room was offered at about €375 a night for two adults, room only and non-refundable, all taxes included. Tourist tax is extra and paid at the hotel: TND 12 per person per night, about €3.60, for up to ten nights. For a couple, that is TND 24 a night, about €7.
