A business event first
The Dubai Airshow is one of the world's major aerospace shows, held every two years by Informa Markets, a British trade-show group. The next edition is scheduled for 15 to 19 November 2027 at the show site in Dubai World Central (DWC), the Al Maktoum airport zone south of the city.
The 19th edition, from 17 to 21 November 2025, drew more than 1,500 exhibitors, 490 civil and military delegations from 115 countries and 248,788 visitors, according to the Dubai government media office. More than 200 aircraft were on show on the ground or in the air.
Who can attend
The official website is clear: the show is open to aerospace industry professionals only, who may be asked for a business card, and under-16s are not admitted. In 2025 a visitor pass cost US$299 including taxes for all five days, giving access to the static display, flying displays, conferences and the SkyView grandstand. 2027 prices have not been published.
For holidaymakers, then, the Dubai Airshow is mostly a week when the city hosts tens of thousands of business visitors. Those attending for work can leave their accommodation and transfers to Sabaro.
What you will see
- Flying displays, usually from 2 pm local time, with the programme published the same morning.
- The opening flypast: in 2025, 60 aircraft flew over the site, led by an Emirates A380, followed by its 777 and A350, then aircraft from other Emirati airlines, military jets and helicopters.
- The static display of airliners, business jets and military aircraft, plus national pavilions, 21 of them in 2025.
Getting to DWC
In 2025 the RTA (Roads and Transport Authority, Dubai's transport authority) ran free shuttles from Expo 2020 metro station to the show and the SkyView grandstand, from 7 am to 7 pm local time. Cars parked at Al Maktoum airport, with shuttles from there. Taxis and ride-hailing cars had their own drop-off zones.
Where to stay
Dubai Marina is the closest area to DWC in the Sabaro selection: Banyan Tree Dubai on Bluewaters Island gives 36 km and about 30 minutes to Al Maktoum airport. Other hotels in the area are on our Dubai Marina page. In mid-November the average high is about 31 °C.
Photographing airports and military installations is forbidden in the UAE outside authorised settings, and taking or sharing pictures of the security situation is a criminal offence. Our guide to Dubai and the regional situation sums up European governments' advice.
