Olea Leya is the simplest of the three addresses in our Ayvalık selection. It is a small hotel in a historic building in the town centre, which its owners converted to welcome guests, combining, in their words, the taste of the old with the comfort of the new. Its name recalls the olive tree. Come here to stay within walking distance of everything in the old town, with a good breakfast.

An old house, kept simple

The hotel describes itself as "your home in Ayvalık", with clean rooms, a welcoming team and a carefully prepared breakfast. The rooms, named after flowers, have been fitted into the volumes of the original house.

Rooms and services

The hotel website lists:

  • breakfast;
  • air conditioning;
  • a minibar;
  • internet access.

It does not publish the number of rooms or their sizes. Sabaro passes this information on with the hotel's offer.

Location

The hotel is on Zafer Street in the Zekibey district, in central Ayvalık. The harbour, the streets of old houses and the restaurants are within walking distance. Cunda Island is eight minutes away by car, Pergamon just over an hour. Edremit airport is about 45 minutes away, İzmir airport just over two hours. See our Ayvalık, Cunda and Pergamon page.

Prices

Price on request: in October 2026, no rate was published for our reference dates of 1 to 3 June 2027. Sabaro passes on the hotel's offer with your enquiry.

Sabaro's view

Who it suits: couples and travellers who want a simple stay in central Ayvalık, for a night or two on the road between İzmir and Assos.

Highlights: the location in the old town; a historic building; a rating of 4.8 out of 5 on Google (388 reviews).

Good to know: it is a simple small hotel, with no restaurant or spa advertised. For a restored house with a richer story, see CavlıHane 1885; for a hotel with a restaurant on the island, Cunda Despot Evi.
