Mandarin Oriental Bosphorus describes itself as an urban resort: a large hotel on the Bosphorus in Kuruçeşme where you can spend your days between the spa, the pool, the padel courts and the cabanas at the water's edge. Its architecture is inspired by the yalı mansions and palaces of the Bosphorus. The Michelin Guide awarded it one Key, and Forbes Travel Guide five stars every year from 2022 to 2026; Condé Nast Traveler readers voted it the best hotel in Türkiye from 2023 to 2025.

The Bosphorus and Naile Sultan Grove

The rooms and suites look over the Bosphorus, Naile Sultan Grove or the inner courtyard. Many have a terrace or balcony. The decor combines natural textures, organic patterns and bespoke metal and leather details; every room has luxurious bedding, a spacious marble bathroom and a walk-in wardrobe.

The rooms

The hotel's website does not give room sizes. The view is what sets them apart: the inner courtyard from the Superior Room, the garden from the Deluxe, the Bosphorus from the categories named after it. For a couple, the Junior Bosphorus Suite has a private roof terrace facing the strait; for a family, the Family Room combines two connecting rooms.

The largest suite, the Royal Suite, measures 474 m², with a private gym, winter garden and fully equipped kitchen. Check-in is at 3 pm and check-out at noon, local time.

A 3,500 m² spa

The spa covers 3,500 m² bathed in daylight: eleven treatment rooms, most with private changing and shower areas; three hammams with separate facilities for men and women; an indoor pool with Jacuzzi and children's pool, opening onto a garden; a sauna and a steam room. A gym, a Pilates, yoga and spinning studio and outdoor padel courts facing the Bosphorus complete the offer. Spa access is for guests aged 16 and over. See also our spa and wellness page.

Restaurants and kids' club

  • Novikov Istanbul blends Italian, Asian and Mediterranean cuisines.
  • Olea & Bar is devoted to traditional Italian cuisine.
  • The Bosphorus Lounge, with its terrace and private waterfront cabanas, serves afternoon tea and the cakes of the Mandarin Cake Shop.

The hotel has a kids' club, and pets are welcome in selected rooms. See also our family page.

Location

The hotel stands on Muallim Naci Caddesi in Kuruçeşme, on the European shore of the Bosphorus, between Ortaköy, with its waterfront square and mosque, and Bebek, with its cafés and promenade. According to the hotel, Istanbul Airport (IST) is about 40 km away and Sabiha Gökçen (SAW) about 45 km.

Rates

In October 2026, for two nights from 1 to 3 June 2027, the cheapest room, a Superior twin, was offered at €1,124 a night for two adults, €2,248 for the stay, without free cancellation, including taxes and fees.

Sabaro's view

For whom: families, thanks to the kids' club, pool and family rooms; couples who want a large spa on the water.

Strengths: the 3,500 m² spa; padel facing the Bosphorus; the kids' club; the Michelin Key and Forbes Travel Guide five stars; a Google rating of 4.7 out of 5.

Good to know: the hotel is away from the historic districts, and entry-level rooms look onto the courtyard. For an imperial palace, see Çırağan Palace Kempinski; for a less expensive Bosphorus stay, Shangri-La Bosphorus.
