Four Seasons Hotel Istanbul at the Bosphorus is Istanbul's second Four Seasons, the waterfront counterpart of the one in Sultanahmet. It occupies the Atik Pasha palace, built in the 19th century as a secondary residence near the sultan's main summer palace on the Bosphorus, and a Four Seasons hotel since 2008. The Michelin Guide awarded it one Key, kept in 2026.

A palace and its gardens

The hotel has 170 rooms and suites (145 rooms, 25 suites) on four floors, in the restored palace and the buildings around it. The marble-and-glass interiors pick up the colours of the Bosphorus, aqua, silver and taupe, with Turkish decorative touches and traditional artwork. The gardens and terraces look over the strait, and a waterfront garden hosts weddings.

The rooms

Every room measures at least 45 m² and sleeps three adults, or two adults and a child. The rooms table details the main ones.

For a couple, the best choice is the Palace Bosphorus Room, in the historic palace and facing the Bosphorus; in the same building, the Palace Courtyard Room looks onto the courtyard. The One-Bedroom Bosphorus Suite adds a living room facing the water, and the Atik Pasha Suite, with up to three bedrooms, can house a large family or a group of eight adults.

Spa, pools and restaurants

The 2,100 m² spa is decorated with pale marble, coloured mosaics and paintings by contemporary Turkish artist Ergin Atlıhan; it has Marmara marble hammams and ten treatment rooms. The signature treatment is a two-hour private hammam session. The hotel has two pools and a 324 m² fitness centre. Guests of Four Seasons Sultanahmet can use them too.

The restaurants:

  • AQUA, the seafood restaurant;
  • Yalı & The Bar, international all-day dining;
  • Ocakbaşı, kebabs and mezze outdoors;
  • the Assouline Lounge.

The chef sources local produce: wild sea bass, organic honey, Thracian lamb, Çanakkale tomatoes. See also our spa and wellness page.

Location

The hotel stands on Çırağan Caddesi in Beşiktaş, on the European shore of the Bosphorus, next to Çırağan Palace, between Dolmabahçe and Ortaköy. The old city and Four Seasons Sultanahmet are about ten minutes away by car without traffic. Istanbul Airport (IST) is about an hour's drive away, Sabiha Gökçen (SAW) about 45 minutes.

Rates

In October 2026, for two nights from 1 to 3 June 2027, the cheapest room was offered at €1,257 a night for two adults, €2,514 for the stay, room only, with free cancellation until 28 May 2027, including taxes and fees.

Sabaro's view

For whom: couples and families who want a large waterfront hotel with spa and pools; honeymooners (see honeymoon).

Strengths: the Atik Pasha palace; rooms of at least 45 m²; the 2,100 m² spa; the Michelin Key; a Google rating of 4.6 out of 5.

Good to know: this is the most expensive hotel in our Bosphorus selection, and not every room faces the strait. For a less expensive hotel on the same shore, see Shangri-La Bosphorus; for an imperial palace, neighbouring Çırağan Palace Kempinski.
