Closed until March 2027

Armani Hotel Dubai has been closed since 1 April 2026 for a full renovation. The operator first aimed to reopen in the fourth quarter of 2026; according to Gulf News, which published the timetable on 14 September 2026, the ballroom and event spaces will reopen in January 2027 and the hotel will welcome guests again in March 2027. Sabaro goes by March 2027.

The works cover the whole hotel: rooms and suites, restaurants, spa and gym, ballroom, pool and outdoor areas. The hotel describes the project as an evolution of the original spirit, keeping its Armani/Casa furniture; details of the new spaces are due before the reopening. The description below is therefore the hotel as it was before the works, and Sabaro reconfirms the room, services and rate before any booking.

A hotel in the world's tallest tower

Opened in 2010, Armani Hotel Dubai was the first hotel conceived and designed by the Italian fashion designer Giorgio Armani. It occupies the lower part of Burj Khalifa, from the concourse level to level 8, plus levels 38 and 39, with its own private entrance to the tower. All 160 rooms and suites have furniture designed by Armani.

That is what sets it apart from its two neighbours in Sabaro's Downtown selection: Palace Downtown plays the Arabian palace by the lake, The Lana contemporary architecture on the Business Bay marina, while the Armani is all about design, inside the tower itself. Dubai Mall and the Dubai Fountain, the water-and-light show on Burj Khalifa's lake, are within walking distance.

The rooms before the works

Before closing, the hotel offered five families of rooms, from 45 m² for the entry room to 390 m² for the single suite on level 39; what set them apart was the view, over the city, the fountain or the Persian Gulf. Our tip, if these categories return: the Fountain View Suite for a couple, because it gives you the view people come to Downtown for; the Premiere Room for a parent with one child.

Dining and spa

Every restaurant carried the Armani signature: Armani/Ristorante, Italian, recognised by the Michelin Guide and awarded two toques in Gault & Millau UAE 2025; Armani/Amal; Armani/Mediterraneo, where suite guests had breakfast; Armani/Deli and Armani/Lounge. The post-renovation line-up has not yet been published.

Armani/SPA covered about 1,115 m² (12,000 sq ft), with thermal baths and a gym. It is one of the areas being renovated.

Sabaro's view

Who it suits: design lovers, couples on a city break, and travellers who want to sleep inside Burj Khalifa.

Strengths: a one-of-a-kind address; a restrained, consistent style down to the furniture; Downtown on foot; 5 stars from Forbes Travel Guide (an American guide that rates hotels after anonymous inspections); Green Globe environmental certification.

Good to know: the hotel is closed until March 2027 and its new version has not yet been described; its 8.9/10 score on Booking.com (1,959 reviews) dates from before the works; there is no beach. Checked in October 2026 for a March 2027 stay, an Armani Deluxe Room cost around €770 a night for two on a non-refundable advance-purchase rate, taxes and fees included according to the booking site, with a possible per-night tourism fee on top: a rate to be reconfirmed.
