A world tour in one evening
Global Village is a large open-air park in Dubailand, beside Sheikh Mohammed Bin Zayed Road, open only during the cooler season. You spend an evening wandering between 29 pavilions where more than 90 cultures present their crafts, products and food. The park welcomed 10.5 million visitors in its 30th season.
Season 31, themed "A More Wonderful World", opened on 14 October 2026 and is due to run until May 2027; the closing date has not been set.
What to do
- The pavilions, with their craft and produce shops.
- World food, at the stalls and restaurants of each pavilion.
- Shows on the main stage and around the park: dances from Thailand, Morocco, Syria and Palestine, and light shows.
- The Carnaval, a funfair whose rides are paid in points, 10 to 30 per ride, on top of the entry ticket.
- For children, Little Wonderers, an indoor play area, the eleven-room Dragon Kingdom and the Gardens of the World.
Fireworks mark the big dates of the season, such as UAE National Day on 2 December: in 2025, fireworks and drones went up at 9 pm from 1 to 3 December. The 2026-2027 schedule has not been published yet.

Where to stay
Global Village is inland, far from the hotels in the Sabaro selection. For families, the most practical choice is a beach hotel you leave in the late afternoon: Atlantis The Palm on Palm Jumeirah, or Jumeirah Beach Hotel in Umm Suqeim. Our Dubai family trip in 7 days includes an evening at Global Village, and the family theme gathers other outings for children.
Last season was interrupted by the regional conflict: the park closed on 28 February 2026 and reopened on 20 April, and the Eid Al Fitr fireworks were cancelled. Our guide to Dubai and the regional situation covers the current situation.
