D-Resort Göcek

D-Resort Göcek is the place to stay by the water in the Gulf of Göcek, the bay where the gulets of the Lycian coast set sail. The hotel belongs to the Turkish Doğuş group and stands next to the D-Marin marina. You arrive through the pine forest: modern architecture, white and blue everywhere, and the turquoise, island-studded gulf in front of the rooms.

A private beach at the foot of the hill

The beach is the heart of a stay. It runs along the foot of the hill, with two piers for diving into deep water, sun loungers and shade. Beach service runs from May to November, depending on the weather. A pool with its own bar and menu completes the picture for those who prefer fresh water.

The hotel has its own speedboat, the Sundowner, for exploring the coves and islands of the gulf, and offers cycling routes nearby. The D-Marin marina next door is where you board a chartered gulet or yacht.

Rooms from 26 to 139 m²

The hotel's website describes some fifteen room and suite types. What mainly sets them apart is the outdoor space: a French balcony in the standard rooms, then a garden, terrace or private rooftop in the higher categories. A couple who wants to swim straight from the room will choose the Junior Suite with Pool Access, whose terrace opens into the pool. For a family or two couples, the Presidential Suite with Pool Access has two bedrooms and a garden linked to the pool.

Spa, fitness and restaurants

D-Spa combines Asian and Western treatments with therapies based on Mediterranean and Aegean medicinal plants; the D-Gym fitness centre has Technogym equipment and a view. The hotel also runs wellness retreats.

There are five places to eat and drink: Q Lounge, D'Breeze, Olives, the DD Scoop ice-cream bar and the Pool Bar. From mid-October to mid-November, the hotel invites guests to join the harvest of olives, oranges and lemons.

Location and access

The hotel is in Göcek, at the head of the bay, 25 km from Dalaman International Airport according to the hotel, about 40 minutes by road, and 30 km from Fethiye. A door-to-door transfer is offered with Antur. Göcek village, with its cafés and restaurants, is next door. Through the seasons

The beach is open from May to November. In June and September, highs are around 32 °C and the sea is above 24 °C; July and August approach 35 °C. This is also the gulet season, from May to October. Winter is mild but wet.
