Key facts

The Rallye du Maroc is a multi-day off-road race in the desert for motorbikes, quads, cars and trucks. In 2027 it closes the W2RC (World Rally-Raid Championship, run by the FIA, the International Automobile Federation, and the FIM, the International Motorcycling Federation). The FIA set the 28th edition for 24 to 29 October 2027.

The route changes every year: in 2025 the start was in Fes with a bivouac in Erfoud; in 2026 the start was in Agadir with a bivouac in Zagora, from 28 September to 3 October.

Good to know

  • Bivouac: the bivouac, the teams' camp in the desert, is the best place to see the vehicles; public access depends on the organisers.
  • Season: in late October, temperatures in southern Morocco are milder than in summer, suitable for desert trips.
  • 2027 calendar: the championship has five rounds, from the Dakar in Saudi Arabia (1-15 January) to Morocco.
