A week in one hotel, Paradis Plage, in Imi Ouaddar, north of Taghazout and Agadir: daily surf lessons at the Surf House, sunrise and sunset yoga in a shala facing the Atlantic, a spa, and a trip to Paradise Valley. ## One week, one place

This trip has a single address, and that is the point: you unpack for six nights and set the week by the sea. Paradis Plage is a 3-hectare eco-resort on a 5 km beach, at kilometre 26 of the Essaouira road, in Imi Ouaddar. The village of Taghazout, a former fishing port that has become the centre of Moroccan surfing, is 7 km away.

Agadir-Al Massira airport is about 43 km away. The transfer is charged and should be booked with the hotel before you travel.

## A typical day

The day runs to a fixed timetable, the same every day, in local time.

- **07:00, Sunrise Yoga** in the shala, the yoga room by the beach, whose glass walls open onto the garden and the ocean: a dynamic flow built around sun salutations. Early risers can follow it with **08:30, Sense of Yoga**, a workshop on posture alignment.
- **Breakfast**, a buffet at L'Océan until 10:30, with vegan and gluten-free options.
- **Surfing.** The Surf House, the hotel's surf centre, run in partnership with the Rip Curl brand, gives 1 h 30 of lessons a day, board provided and wetsuit available.
- **Lunch** at Le Cabanon, on the beach near the Surf House (poke bowls, salads, grilled fish), or at Le Panorama, by the pool.
- **The afternoon**: the Paradise Eco Spa, the pool, or a free session on the beach.
- **17:30, Sunset Yoga**: slow, meditative yin yoga, facing the sunset. On Wednesdays and Saturdays, a guided breathwork session takes its place.
- **Dinner** at Le Palmier, Moroccan, international and vegetarian cooking, from 19:00 to 22:30. Weather permitting, the Surf House lights a campfire or sets up an open-air cinema.

Yoga, surfing and treatments are charged on top of the room. In October 2026, the hotel listed 200 dirhams (MAD) per yoga class and 300 MAD per breathwork session.

## Progressing in six days

The Surf House sells lessons in 2-day or 5-day packages: 665 MAD for 2 days and 1,575 MAD for 5 days, at prices listed in October 2026. Depending on sea conditions, a 100 MAD supplement may apply. For a week, the 5-day package makes most sense: it leaves a day for Paradise Valley and some slack if the sea is too big one morning.

Beginners start on the gentle waves of K14, or Imourane, and Crocro. After a few days, Banana Point and Anza suit intermediate surfers. The points at Anchor Point, Killer Point and Dracula are for experienced surfers only: for them, the Surf House offers guided half-day trips to the coast's spots, transport included, at 950 MAD for 2 days and 2,250 MAD for 5 days.

If you would rather try before committing to a package, the 3-hour beginner lesson listed in this itinerary takes place on a Taghazout beach, with a village school.

## Choosing your season by level

Taghazout gets waves all year, but they change with the seasons.

- **From October to March**, winter swells are at their most powerful. This is the season for the points, for experienced surfers. Beginners coming in winter stay on the easy beaches, with an instructor.
- **From May to August**, the sea is calmer: the best time for a first lesson, and for the beach.
- **Spring and autumn** suit both, with gentle waves at K14 and Crocro.

The climate itself varies little. According to the 1991–2020 normals of the WMO (World Meteorological Organization) for the Agadir-Inezgane station, the average maximum runs from 21.2 °C in January to 27.0 °C in August, and it rains only about twenty days a year, mostly from November to March. The water ranges from 16.5 °C in February to 20.6 °C in September: a wetsuit is needed all year.

## Out of the water

- **Paradise Valley**, about an hour inland by road: gorges and natural pools under palm trees. The trip listed in this itinerary lasts 5 hours; save it for a day when the sea is too big or too flat.
- **Sandboarding**, surfing on sand, on the Tamri dunes: the Surf House arranges it for groups of four or more.
- **Taghazout**, 7 km away, for its alleys, white houses and the fishing boats coming back in the morning.
- **Agadir**, with its Souk El Had, closed on Mondays, and the Agadir Oufella kasbah on its hill.

## Which room

All rooms at Paradis Plage are suites or standalone houses. For a couple, the 62 m² Junior Suite looks onto the ocean or the pool. For a group of friends, the four 150 m² villas, with three bedrooms and direct beach access, sleep up to seven.
