## All-inclusive, for adults

The Riu Tikida Beach is one of three hotels that the Spanish chain RIU and the Moroccan Tikida group run together around Agadir. It shares the same seafront, Chemin des Dunes, with the Riu Palace Tikida Agadir, but takes a different line: 254 rooms, and guests aged 16 and over only. There is no kids' club or children's pool, and the entertainment is aimed at adults.

Only the promenade separates the hotel from the beach: from the gardens you are on the sand in a few steps. A section of the beach is reserved for guests, with free sun loungers and parasols.

The all-inclusive plan runs 24 hours a day. It covers the restaurants and bars in the programme, with one exception, noted below.

## A typical day

In the morning, breakfast at the buffet in The Restaurant, from 7 to 10 am, or later, from 10 to 11 am, by the pool at L'Olivio. Times are local.

The day is split between the beach and the two outdoor pools, one heated in winter, with a large sun terrace; towels, loungers and parasols are provided. L'Olivio serves snacks from noon to 6 pm, and the pool bar can be reached without leaving the water. To keep moving: daily RIU Fit sessions, two clay tennis courts and a gym; nearby, bike hire, riding stables and golf courses.

In the afternoon, the spa takes over. It combines a traditional hammam and a thalassotherapy circuit (seawater baths, pools and showers), with a heated indoor saltwater pool. Treatments are charged on top of the plan.

## Evenings

Dinner is early: both restaurants serve from 7 to 9.30 pm.

- **The Restaurant**, the main buffet, with live cooking, vegetarian dishes and two themed nights a week;
- **Cullinarium**, a buffet at lunch (noon to 3 pm), then an à la carte restaurant in the evening with a Moroccan-influenced menu.

Afterwards, the lobby bar, "The Bar", for a drink on arrival, then Casablanca for cocktails, with a stage for shows and live music several nights a week. Later on, the Le Zanzibar nightclub takes over: it is the only venue in the hotel not included in the plan.

## Which room to choose

Double rooms are 40 m², with a kettle and a small fridge. The cheapest has no balcony; it is the only one that comes with a bathrobe. The standard room has a balcony or terrace, and the "lateral sea view" room gives a glimpse of the ocean.

For a honeymoon or an anniversary, the Junior Suite with sea view is on another scale: 94 m², facing the ocean, with a balcony or terrace.
