Radisson Blu Palace Resort & Thalasso is one of the large resorts in the Djerba tourist zone, the strip of hotels along the island's east coast: a five-star property with 296 rooms, all with a balcony or terrace, a thalassotherapy centre, four restaurants and six bars, a few steps from the sandy beaches. It belongs to the Radisson Blu brand of Radisson Hotel Group and holds the Green Key eco-label (an international label rewarding good management of water, energy and waste).

## Who it suits

The hotel suits couples and families who want a full beach holiday, with all-inclusive as an option, and thalasso fans who want more choice at dinner than a dedicated spa hotel offers. Djerba Golf Club is a few minutes away, so it also works as a golf base.

It suits less well those who want the beach right below their room: the hotel is a few steps from the sand, and its website does not mention a private beach. For a private beach and a larger thalasso centre, see the [Hasdrubal Prestige](/en/hotels/hasdrubal-prestige-djerba/); for all-inclusive facing the sea with an adults-only area, the [Iberostar Selection Eolia](/en/hotels/iberostar-selection-eolia-djerba/).

## Rooms that all open outside

Every room has a balcony or terrace, and most sleep up to three adults, with a king bed or two twins. For a couple, the Premium Room with Balcony - Lateral Sea View is the right compromise, with its side view of the sea; for a long stay, the Junior Suite with Balcony - Sea View adds a panoramic view and a sitting area. Families should take the Family Room with Terrace, which sleeps three adults and a child under 12.

## Athénée Thalasso & Spa

The hotel's centre is called Athénée Thalasso & Spa (the hotel itself is sometimes sold as "Athénée Palace"). It offers thalassotherapy (treatments using seawater, seaweed and marine mud), massages and spa rituals. The indoor pool and the sauna in the fitness centre round it off and make winter pleasant, when the sea drops to around 15 °C. Our guide to [golf and thalasso in Tunisia](/en/guides/golf-thalasso-tunisie/) covers the centres on Djerba.

## Four restaurants

Dining is varied for an island resort:

- **Ceramique**, the buffet;
- **Turquoise**, fish and seafood;
- **Zafferano**, Italian;
- **Flamingo**, Andalusian and local cooking.

Six bars complete the picture. An all-inclusive package is available.

## Beach, pools and children

The sandy beaches of the tourist zone are a few steps away. The hotel has an outdoor pool, an indoor pool, a kids' club and six meeting rooms for 15 to 300 people. The sea passes 27 °C in July and nears 29 °C in August.

## Exploring Djerba from the hotel

- Grand Casino de Djerba: 2 km;
- Djerba Golf Club: a few minutes by car;
- Djerbahood, the open-air street art museum in the village of Erriadh, with more than 250 murals: 11 km;
- El Ghriba synagogue, in Erriadh: 17 km;
- Guellala museum, devoted to Djerbian life, in the potters' village: 17.5 km;
- Djerba-Zarzis International Airport (DJE): 20 km, about 25 minutes.

Djerba has been on the UNESCO World Heritage List since 2023 for the way its islanders settled the land (Ibadi mosques, fondouks or caravanserais, Houmt Souk). The Ghriba was the scene of the attack of 9 May 2023; it is best to keep away from places where security forces are posted, and access controls are tightened during the [pilgrimage](/en/events/pelerinage-ghriba/). Sightseeing details are on our [Djerba](/en/tunisia/djerba/) page, and the security situation in our [Tunisia safety](/en/guides/securite-tunisie/) guide.

## Season

The hotel announces no closure. Djerba has direct flights all year from Paris, Lyon, Marseille, Nantes and Brussels, and in season from Geneva, Basel-Mulhouse, Zurich, Nice and several German cities; the island is a few hours' flight from Europe's main cities, direct or with one stop. Winter is mild, with highs of 17 to 18 °C in December and January; the flamingos of Flamingo Island are best seen from October to March. Ramadan 2027 is expected from 8 February to 9 March.

## Price and tourist tax

In October 2026, for two nights from 9 March 2027, the cheapest room was offered on the official website at about €250 a night for two adults, breakfast and taxes included, on a non-refundable rate.

The tourist tax is paid on top at the hotel: 12 Tunisian dinars (TND) per person per night in four- and five-star hotels, about €3.60 at the Central Bank of Tunisia rate of 19 October 2026, for up to ten nights. See our [money in Tunisia](/en/guides/argent-tunisie/) guide.
