Markiz Konakları is the Şirince address for a cosy stay. The hotel has eight rooms and suites in konaks, the local village houses, with fireplaces, plus a spa and hammam, rare in the village. Come for the quiet of the hills, a night by the fire out of season and the proximity of Ephesus, under twenty minutes away.

## Eight rooms and suites

Almost every room is named after a plant: Yasemin, jasmine; Lavanta, lavender; Mürver, elder; Defne, bay laurel; Kekik, thyme; Begonvil, bougainvillea; Üzüm, grape. The house has two suites, two "Delux" rooms and four other rooms. For a couple in winter, the Yasemin Suite is the cosiest: it has a fireplace, with one basket of firewood free.

The village breakfast and VAT are included in the price. Children under 6 stay free in their parents' room; from 7 to 12, they pay half the per-person rate.
