Kırkınca, as Kirkinca Houses & Boutique Hotel calls itself, offers two ways to stay in Şirince. In the village, ten rooms in stone-and-wood houses in the heart of the lanes; in the hills, six mountain cottages with a pool. The same family, the Gülgüns, has run the place since 1999. Come to experience Şirince at your own pace, twenty minutes from Ephesus.

## A family story

The family's story in Şirince goes back to the population exchange between Greece and Turkey: its roots are in Thessaloniki. Welcoming guests began in 1999 and grew into a family business. The Gülgüns present hospitality as a family tradition.

## Two ways to stay

**In the village: ten rooms.** Each has its own character and story, between stone walls and wooden ceilings: Zakkum, Gül, Kemerli, Taş, Sedir, Defne, Lale, Dilek, Ceviz and the Morsalkım house. The Zakkum room, for example, sleeps three adults, with a double and a single bed, and looks over the village.

**In the hills: six cottages.** The Zeytinli, Kayalı, Taş, Ağaç, İncirli and Lavanta houses sit in the countryside around a garden and a pool, away from the village. The right choice for a family or a longer stay.

The official rates include breakfast for two and are per room or cottage, per night.

## Food and yoga

- a restaurant with a view and an unhurried village breakfast;
- a stone-walled yoga and meeting room opening onto nature;
- the pool at the cottage estate.

## Location

The rooms are in the heart of Şirince village, 8 km and about 12 minutes from Selçuk; the cottages are in the hills, away from the village. Ephesus is about twenty minutes away, İzmir airport about an hour. See our [Ephesus, Selçuk and Şirince](/en/turkey/ephesus-sirince/) page.
