# Jumeirah Zabeel Saray

Jumeirah Zabeel Saray is a Palm Jumeirah beach resort in Dubai, styled as an Ottoman palace, with a 1 km private beach and the 8,200 m² Talise Ottoman Spa. It suits spa lovers and families who want space at a gentler price than the neighbouring resorts.

Jumeirah Zabeel Saray is the Palm Jumeirah resort to choose for its spa: the Talise Ottoman Spa covers 8,200 m², with 42 treatment rooms, three hammams and two indoor seawater pools, and the hotel describes it as the largest in the Middle East. The resort is modelled on the Ottoman palaces of Istanbul ("saray" means palace in Turkish), stretches along a kilometre of private beach on the island's West Crescent and is very welcoming to families.

## Istanbul on the Palm

The hotel was conceived as an Ottoman palace, and it shows from the moment you arrive:

- a blue protective "eye" framed by Iznik tiles made in Turkey;
- carved wooden doors with antique fittings from Turkish souks;
- marble from Afyon and Kütahya, handmade ceramics and mother-of-pearl inlaid furniture;
- 28 domes hand-painted by 22 students from Mimar Sinan Fine Arts University in Istanbul;
- in the central hall, a Bohemian crystal chandelier with 750 lamps weighing 4.5 tonnes, which the hotel calls the largest in the world.

You may love or loathe the décor, but it gives the hotel a character of its own among the Palm's more contemporary resorts (see our [Palm Jumeirah](/en/dubai/palm-jumeirah/) page).

## Talise Ottoman Spa

The spa has two entrances and separate areas for women, men and VIP guests, and you move through it like a small neighbourhood: facial rooms, aromatherapy lounges, crystal rooms, steam rooms, saunas and snow rooms, where gentle snowfall cools you down between hot sessions.

At its heart is the grand **Turkish hammam**, all marble and mosaic. The ritual follows tradition: warm room, hot room, cold water, a scrub with a *kese* mitt, massage, then rest in a cooling room. The heated marble scrubbing platform takes up to four people. The two **thalassotherapy pools** (seawater treatments) sit beneath arched stained-glass windows and a star-studded ceiling.

Couples can book a royal hammam for two; families can share treatments with their children. Use of the spa facilities, including the thalassotherapy pools, is included with Deluxe rooms. For more wellness stays, see our [spa and wellness](/en/themes/spa-and-wellness/) page.

## Rooms

The resort has 379 rooms, 26 suites and 38 royal suites, plus four- and five-bedroom villas. Bathrooms are Turkish-inspired, with a rain shower and a large Turkish marble bathtub.

The resort-view Deluxe Room includes unlimited access to the kids' and teens' club, cinema, infinity pool, beach and spa. A family with two children under 12 should book the Deluxe Family Room. The Palm Suite adds sea and Palm views, a butler, the Executive Lounge and transfers from Dubai International Airport (DXB). For a large family or a group, the Royal Suite and the beachfront villas, with a private pool, sleep up to seven and twelve guests.

**Our tip**: for a couple, the Palm Suite is the hotel's best value, combining the sea view, the lounge and airport transfers.

## A kilometre of beach

The private beach runs for one kilometre. There is an infinity pool and a separate children's pool, as well as tennis courts and the Talise Fitness Hub. To compare with the city's other beaches, see our [Dubai beaches guide](/en/guides/plages-dubai/).

## Where to eat

The menu runs from Lebanon to Italy:

- **Al Nafoorah**: Lebanese cooking beneath high carved-wood ceilings;
- **Zenzi Beach**: Greek food on the sand;
- **Ravello**: Italian cuisine beneath frescoed ceilings;
- **Imperium**: international dining;
- **Zabeel Social**: a family-friendly sports bar showing live matches;
- **Arcadia by Amala**: regional Indian cooking, announced as opening soon;
- in the lobby, a cigar bar, an Ottoman-style tea lounge and a patisserie serving konafa (a Middle Eastern pastry of cheese and shredded filo).

## With children

The **Jumeirah Circle** club caters for both children and teenagers, and the hotel has its own 29-seat cinema. Deluxe rooms include unlimited access to both; cots are available on request. The Deluxe Family Room and the villas suit larger families. See also our [family](/en/themes/family/) page.
