Hasdrubal Prestige Thalassa & Spa is the Djerba hotel to choose for a real thalassotherapy cure: a five-star property made up entirely of suites, on Sidi Mahrez beach, built around an 11,000 m² treatment centre. It belongs to the Tunisian Hasdrubal group, which also runs the [Hasdrubal Thalassa & Spa Yasmine Hammamet](/en/hotels/hasdrubal-thalassa-yasmine-hammamet/). Not to be confused with the former Hasdrubal Thalassa & Spa Djerba, now the [Iberostar Selection Eolia](/en/hotels/iberostar-selection-eolia-djerba/).

## The thalasso in figures

Thalassotherapy (a course of treatments using seawater, seaweed and marine mud) is the hotel's reason for being, and its facilities set it apart from the island's other resorts:

- **13 private spa suites** of 130 m² each, for treatments in privacy;
- **indoor seawater pools**: a leisure pool, a rehabilitation pool and a phlebology circuit (water walking that stimulates leg circulation);
- **2 hot tubs, 2 hammams and saunas**;
- outdoors, **three pools** of seawater, fresh water and ferruginous (iron-rich) thermal water, plus a pool of settled thermal water, and an indoor freshwater pool.

The thermal water is what makes the place stand out. To compare with other centres in the country, see our guide to [golf and thalasso in Tunisia](/en/guides/golf-thalasso-tunisie/) and our [spa and wellness](/en/themes/spa-and-wellness/) page.

## Suites, and only suites

All 219 units are suites, which is what sets it apart from a standard resort: even the entry category is generous.

The junior suite comes with a garden or sea view: the sea view is worth the extra for a couple on a cure, who will spend a lot of time in the suite between treatments. Families can choose between the garden-side family suite and two two-bedroom suites: the Jasmine, which also suits two couples travelling together, and the Elyssa, the largest in the hotel, with two bathrooms.

## The private beach

The hotel has a 10,500 m² private sandy beach with 70 loungers and 30 parasols. The sea around Djerba passes 27 °C in July and nears 29 °C in August; in winter it drops to about 15 °C, and swimming moves to the centre's indoor pools. See also our [beach](/en/themes/beach/) page.

Two tennis courts, a gym and a bridge room complete the leisure facilities. The island's 27-hole golf course is 10 minutes away by car.

## Nine restaurants and bars

- **Le Tamaris**, **Le Mistral** and **Le Riviera**, the hotel's restaurants;
- **L'Odalye**, the fine-dining restaurant, open when occupancy allows;
- **L'Hambra**;
- **Le Café Maure** (a Tunisian-style café), **Le Lobby Bar**, **Le Laguna Pool Bar** and **Le Flamingo Bar**.

## Location

The hotel stands on the seafront at Sidi Mahrez beach, on the island's north-east coast, near the Djerba casino:

- Midoun: 7 km;
- Houmt Souk, the island's main town, with its fondouks (caravanserais) and Borj Ghazi Mustapha fort: 15 km;
- 27-hole golf course: 10 minutes by car;
- Djerba-Zarzis International Airport (DJE): 18 km.

Check-in is from 2 pm, local time. For Djerbahood, Guellala and the island's other sights, see our [Djerba](/en/tunisia/djerba/) page.

## What changes out of season

The hotel announces no closure. Two services are seasonal: the pool and beach bars open in summer only, and the L'Odalye fine-dining restaurant opens only when occupancy allows. In winter, daytime highs stay around 17 to 18 °C in December and January, ideal for a cure. Ramadan 2027 is expected from 8 February to 9 March.

## Price and tourist tax

In October 2026, for two nights from 9 March 2027, the cheapest suite was offered on the official website at about €150 a night for two adults, breakfast and taxes included, on a non-refundable rate. For a 95 m² suite, that is well below the island's Radisson Blu checked on the same date, at around €250.

The tourist tax is paid on top at the hotel: 12 Tunisian dinars (TND) per person per night in four- and five-star hotels, about €3.60 at the Central Bank of Tunisia rate of 19 October 2026, for up to ten nights.

## Sabaro's view

**Who for**: couples on a thalasso cure, honeymooners (see [honeymoon](/en/themes/honeymoon/)), families who want space.

**Strengths**: the 11,000 m² centre and its thermal pools, 95 m² suites from the entry level, the private beach, and a 4.3 out of 5 rating on Tripadvisor (505 reviews).

**Worth knowing**: the pool and beach bars close outside summer; the fine-dining restaurant does not open every evening.
