## Old Dubai on foot, for around €140 a night

Al Seef Heritage Hotel is the least expensive of the hotels Sabaro has chosen in Dubai: checked in October 2026 for March 2027, the cheapest room was around €140 a night for two, taxes and fees included according to the booking site, with a possible per-night tourism fee on top (non-refundable rate). What you get for it is a room in a setting that recalls early Dubai, within walking distance of the Creek, the abras and the historic Al Fahidi quarter.

The hotel belongs to Curio Collection, the American group Hilton's collection of hotels with individual character. It opened in 2018 and Hilton has run it since January 2020, under an agreement with Meraas, the developer behind the district.

## A rebuilt old quarter

Al Seef is a waterfront promenade opened in 2017 on the south bank of Dubai Creek, in Bur Dubai. Its sand-coloured low houses, narrow lanes and wind towers draw on traditional Emirati architecture: it is a recreated heritage quarter, right next to the genuine old quarter of Al Fahidi. The hotel occupies these two-storey buildings along the promenade.

The setting suits travellers who want an old-town atmosphere with the comfort of a big brand. If you want an original historic house instead, look at [XVA Art Hotel](/en/hotels/xva-art-hotel/), set in a real old home in Al Fahidi.

## What to do from the hotel

All of old Dubai is within walking distance or a short abra ride away. The abra is the wooden public boat that crosses the Creek for 1 dirham, from 6 am local time:

- **Al Fahidi** (formerly Bastakiya), with its lanes and wind-tower houses, a few minutes away;
- **Al Shindagha Museum**, on the history of the Creek, with its perfume house;
- **the gold and spice souks**, across the water in Deira, about 1 km away;
- **a dinner cruise on a dhow**, the traditional Gulf sailing boat, along the Creek, in two hours.

Al Fahidi metro station is about 1 km away and links the hotel to [Downtown](/en/dubai/downtown/), where Burj Khalifa and Dubai Mall are some 10 km from the hotel. Dubai International Airport (DXB) is less than 10 km away. More sights are covered on the [Old Dubai](/en/dubai/old-dubai/) page and in the guide to [getting around Dubai](/en/guides/se-deplacer-dubai/).

## Rooms: pick your view

All Heritage rooms measure 21 to 25 m², so the view is what sets them apart. The twin rooms look out over the Creek, its abras and dhows; the balcony over the souk will appeal to a couple who want the feel of the old lanes. For a longer stay or a small family, the suite adds a living room and a second bathroom. Connecting rooms are available, and Wi-Fi and parking are free.

## Pool and spa next door

Al Seef Heritage has a single restaurant, serving Middle Eastern food. For the pool, gym and spa, guests have free access to those at Canopy by Hilton Dubai Al Seef, the group's neighbouring hotel, which has an infinity pool; a shuttle takes them there. For dinner, the Al Seef promenade and the surrounding area have plenty of choice.

## Sabaro's view
