# New Year's Eve: Burj Khalifa fireworks At midnight local time, Emaar stages a fireworks, light and drone show on Burj Khalifa every 31 December. It is free to watch from Downtown, but you need to arrive hours ahead; Burj Park, the only paid area, cost AED 997.50 per adult, about €240, for New Year's Eve 2025. The 2025 show lasted about eight minutes. Dubai is on UTC+4 all year round: on 31 December, it is 4 hours ahead of London. The programme for New Year's Eve 2026-2027 has not been announced yet; Sabaro will add it as soon as it is published. ## Where to watch ### For free, in Downtown The show can be watched free from around the tower: Dubai Mall, the boulevard and Souk Al Bahar, with giant screens on the boulevard. Emaar also streams it live. The crowds are huge: some spectators waited up to nine hours to hold their spot in 2025. Arrive in the afternoon, with water and patience. ### At Burj Park, the paid area Burj Park, at the foot of the tower, is the only paid area. For New Year's Eve 2025, tickets cost AED 997.50 per adult, about €240, and AED 577.50 for ages 5 to 12; under-5s went free. Prices have risen sharply: AED 300 in 2023, dinner included, AED 580 in 2024. Tickets were sold on Emaar's website and Platinumlist; wristbands were collected from 26 to 30 December, with no collection on the 31st. Organisers advised arriving around 4 pm, through Downtown Gate 5. ### From your room [Palace Downtown](/en/hotels/palace-downtown/), on Old Town Island by Burj Lake, has its pool facing Burj Khalifa; [The Lana](/en/hotels/the-lana-dubai/) in Business Bay has a rooftop pool looking towards the tower. For this night, Sabaro books early and checks each hotel's conditions, including any compulsory gala dinner. ## Getting around that night The 2025 traffic plan, as a guide: - **Downtown roads** closed from 4 pm local time, then further roads at 8 pm and 9 pm, and part of Sheikh Zayed Road at 11 pm; - **the metro** ran for 43 hours non-stop, but Burj Khalifa/Dubai Mall station closed from 5 pm, or earlier if overcrowded, so people used Financial Centre, Business Bay, Emirates Towers or World Trade Centre instead; - **after the show**, free buses ran to the taxi ranks at Al Kifaf and Al Wasl Club. You needed at least AED 15 on your Nol card, Dubai's transport card. ## New Year's Eve elsewhere Dubai also sets off fireworks at other sites that night, including Palm Jumeirah, Bluewaters, Dubai Creek Harbour, Global Village and Expo City, according to the press.
